Welcome to Loida.art open studio

Please come join me as I open my studio for the very first time: October 5-6, 2024 (Saturday and Sunday) from 10am-5pm EST.

I'll be offering demo's, refreshments, and a chance for you to try your hand at watercolor painting (playtime for adults!). You'll also find my original art, prints, cards, and gifts to suit every budget.

Location: site 92 on Loop 11

My open studio is stop number 92 on Loop 11. I'm right in the village of Moretown, on Vermont Route 100B across from Moretown Mountain Road. Just steps away from the Moretown General Store and the Moretown Town Hall. Follow the yellow signs by the Vermont Crafts Council. I'm tucked back off the road a bit as I'm right on the Mad river. Follow driveway to the end and you'll see signs to studio entrance. Weather permitting, I'll have a table or tent outside too. If driveway is too full, we're an easy walk from the Moretown General Store across the street, Moretown Town Hall, and Moretown Elementary school.

What is Vermont Open Studio weekend?

From the Vermont Crafts Council website: “Open Studio Weekend is a statewide celebration of the visual arts and creative process, offering a unique opportunity for visitors to meet a variety of artists and craftspeople in their studios, some of whom are only open to the public during this event.  Those who experience Open Studio gain an appreciation for the creative process and the role that artists and craftspeople play in the vitality of Vermont’s communities. Participating small galleries and art centers show the work of local artists.

Twice a year the self-guided tour features both long time participants and those new to the tour, giving faithful Open Studio visitors new destinations. The studio tour brings visitors to historic Vermont villages and along back roads with spectacular vistas.”

Logistics

All major credit cards accepted.

Bathroom facilities will not be available. Studio is up one flight of stairs. My driveway can accommodate 4-5 cars. If driveway is too full, we're an easy walk from the Moretown General Store across the street, Moretown Town Hall next door, and Moretown Elementary school.
